Beautiful way to spend a few minutes thinking about the built environment. I love his point that the amazing lampposts in London were mass produced, they weren’t unique artist creations. The lampposts were an intentional way of expressing dignity for the people of London. This point is relevant to so many areas of our work…we have choices, we have amazing resources, and we don’t have to settle for the lowest common denominator.
